Korina Sanchez gives a revealing interview in StarStudio Magazine’s May issue

Korina Sanchez is the main subject of StarStudio Magazine’s May 2009 issue and the Bandila anchorwoman opens up about her personal life and her past, present, and future. Having been in the field of broadcast journalism for 25 years and being known for having a tough exterior, Korina reveals her soft side in the issue. She shares her fears, her joys, and the things that make her cry.

She also openly talks about her relationship with fiancé Senator Mar Roxas, what made her fall for him, and how they strengthened their bond. “Masaya siya kapag kasama niya ang pamilya niya. Family man siya eh at taong-bahay, walang bisyo—‘di naninigarilyo, hindi umiinom. At ang pinakamahalaga, hindi nambababae, wala akong kailangang pagselosan,” Korina says of the senator.

She describes her boyfriend politician as a creature of habit and is one who is reluctant to try new things, unlike Korina who describes herself as the more adventurous one. She reveals that she and the senator have the same idea of recreation. “A typical date is often spontaneous. Yung biglaan, walang plano, because we are both busy and we can only take advantage of a common free time. Then we go home to do a marathon of movies or American TV series,” Korina shares.

She adds that activities they enjoy doing together are diving and working out. “We like taking long drives. Napakababaw namin. Pasyal, pasyal lang, enjoy na kami.” Korina also talks about the possibility of becoming the First Lady in the future and what are the chances of her running for office.

Meanwhile, StarStudio’s May issue also contains an article about the late Rico Yan, the popular matinee idol. StarStudio editor-in-chief Biboy Arboleda, Rico’s former manager and friend, recounts how it all started with Rico who became the hottest boy-next-door during his heyday in showbiz.
